To ensure a seamless experience we invite our travellers to come and relax in our world-class lounges. Whether you need some time to catch up on some work or simply want to relax away from the crowds, we offer you a range of lounges across the globe. We also have the privilege of sharing lounges with our Star Alliance partners at airports where we do not have SAA owned lounges.

SAA Lounges
We offer our premium travellers the opportunity to sit back and relax in our lounges in the major cities of South Africa namely, Johannesburg (O.R Tambo International Airport), Cape Town, Durban (King Shaka International Airport), East London and Port Elizabeth as well as 3 lounges in Africa based in Harare, Lagos and Lusaka.
In our hub, O.R Tambo International Airport, we have 2 lounges to choose from for our international travellers. Both lounges offer a tranquil and comfortable escape from the hustle of the airport. And if you need to freshen up after a long flight into South Africa, we welcome you to use our Arrivals Lounge.
For travel within South Africa we have our newly launched VIA Lounge which is situated in the domestic Terminal B.

SAA’s Arrivals Lounge at OR Tambo International Airport is the perfect place to wait for a connecting flight or freshen up before you leave the airport.
HOURS: Open daily from 04h30 to 12h30
LOCATION: Directly after Customs Control on your left-hand side.
After a long flight there is no need to face the world harried. Our Arrivals Lounge offers refreshing showers, a clothes pressing service and an enclosed smoker’s lounge. Accessible to our premium travellers, it provides a sanctuary while you wait for onward travel.
SAA also has an Arrivals Lounge in London Heathrow Airport.

Thanks to our on demand inflight entertainment system, boredom is not an option on SAA. With over 100 movies to enjoy, up to 100 TV features including series, comedy and kids promgramming. 170 audio albums, 14 radio channels and 15 games, there’s plenty to choose from.
Our business Class seats have a 5-star sleep rating by Skytrax, made from the finest leather and fabric. These seats are pitched to a comfortable 74 inches and can lie flat at 180 degrees. To give you the best possible viewing experience, the A330 has high-tech touchscreens that are fun and easy to use with 12 inch screens fitted in Business class and 10 inch screens Economy class.

Food and Beverage
On a long-haul flight, we aim to make our meals a highlight of the journey. That’s why two of South Africa’s most sought-after chefs, Reuben Riffel and Benny Masekwameng, have come onboard to create signature dishes that could be served with pride in any top restaurant.
Reuben now runs his own restaurant in Franschhoek as well as running a signature restaurant in Cape Town’s One and Only Hotel. Now you too can taste his delicious treats without waiting for a table reservation.
Working with Benny is an absolute treat. The Tsogo Sun celebrity chef and a popular judge on MasterChef South Africa has added an inspiring and tantalising touch to our menus.
From starters to desserts, each dish has been carefully designed for its taste, texture and travelling star qualities. We always have a vegetarian option available too. Award-winning South African wines and Méthode Cap Classique bubbly has been specially selected to pair with our chefs’ designer dishes.
