Facilities in our KLM Crown Lounges

Designed by the prestigious Dutch design company, Studio Linse, our KLM Crown Lounges around the world offer a stylish environment with plenty of privacy and space. At Amsterdam Airport Schiphol alone our Lounge 25 (Schengen area) and Lounge 52 (intercontinental) together measure almost 6,000 m2! In an area of calm, we offer:

Lounge check-in

Our KLM Crown Lounges at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, Houston and Toronto have check-in services for transfer passengers. Transfer passengers at Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport can check-in at the Air France Lounge in Terminal 2E.

WiFi on board

On increasingly more of our aircraft you can stay connected with your friends and colleagues, and use the Internet through WiFi. At the moment, you can use WiFi on all of our brand new Boeing 787 Dreamliners and on 1 of our Boeing 777-300 aircraft.

If the aircraft used for your KLM flight is equipped with WiFi, you can simply go to onboard.klm.com during your flight. When the aircraft has reached a certain altitude after take-off you can buy various WiFi vouchers which you can immediately redeem to use during your flight.

Launched in 1966, the Holland Herald is not only the oldest in-flight magazine in the world, but also the biggest English language magazine in the Netherlands!

The magazine looks at an exciting theme every month. Articles cover travel, lifestyle, fun gadgets, and interesting facts and figures.

A la carte menu in Economy Class

Enjoy à la carte

Because tastes differ, we offer more choice. In addition to our standard meals, you can also enjoy 5 delightful à la carte meals in Economy Class on intercontinental KLM flights departing from Amsterdam to all destinations except for Tel Aviv and Toronto.

You can order à la carte meals on KLM.com:

• During booking and inMy Trip: from 90 days until 48 hours before departure
• When checking in online: between 30 and 24 hours before departure

Each meal costs from EUR 12, or 4,200 Flying Blue Miles (the latter option will have to be arranged at My Trip )

Because we serve a limited number of à la carte meals per flight, be sure to order as soon as possible. If you have requested a special meal for religious, dietary or medical reasons, you cannot order an à la carte meal.

Captain’s choice

Discover the cockpit’s à la carte favourites. Start your meal with a delicate salmon millefeuille, dill cream and green asparagus.

Next, savour a main course of braised veal with a suave horseradish sauce. On the side, we’ll serve some tasty cumin potatoes and a healthy dose of spinach, carrots and onions.

Eventually you can indulge your senses with our famous chocolate-coconut mousse. With your coffee and tea we will spoil you with extra sweets.

Champagne delight

Treat yourself to sheer luxury, including a small bottle of champagne and extra sweets with your coffee and tea. As an appetizer with your glass of champagne, enjoy herring caviar with Pommes Tzarine – fluffy mashed potatoes with sour cream and chives.

Your salad with lightly smoked tuna with a sesame crust is served on roman lettuce with a traditional Caesar dressing and sprinkled with parmesan cheese.

Next, enjoy crispy, thinly sliced rib eye, cooked in a spicy Korean marinade. Stir-fried vegetables and a fried rice stuffed wrap will complement your main dish.

Your festive meal is completed with cherries marinated in balsamico, cinnamon mousse and meringue.

Japanese delight

Love the elegance of Japanese cuisine? Indulge yourself in the refined tastes of the land of the rising sun!

You start your meal with the Japanese delicacy of sushi, a wakame seaweed salad and lightly smoked salmon with wasabi mayonnaise.

This is followed by a delightful chicken dish with steamed rice and vegetables and a salad made of Japanese soba noodles and sesame seeds. For dessert, we serve vanilla mousse with strawberry compote. 

Bella Italia

A Bella Italia meal includes the most delicious flavours of Italy!

We start by serving antipasti with olives, artichoke, marinated goat cheese, stuffed salami, spinata romana and prosciutto ham on a bed of mixed greens.

You then enjoy pasta carbonara with pancetta and cheese sauce topped with pine nuts as the main course.

As a side dish, we serve a traditional Caprese salad with mozzarella, tomato and pesto and tiramisu for dessert.

Indonesian rice dishes

An Indonesian rice table with its many highly flavoured dishes is a favourite culinary tradition among the Dutch. Savour the flavours of this famous legacy!

Your Indonesian rice table starts with a kohodo salad with sweet potato, coconut and lemongrass-marinated shrimp and an Asian fruit salad with sweet soy sauce.

The main dish is a Beef Rendang, a slightly spicy Indonesian beef stew with basmati rice and sliced green beans with a side of spicy sambal sauce.

As a side dish, you can enjoy a ketoprak salad with thin noodles and vegetables and, for dessert, we serve spekkoek.
